Arc partners with organizations looking to approach people and performance challenges more intentionally by strengthening the human capabilities that shape individual effectiveness, team dynamics, culture, and long-term success.  

PERSPECTIVE

The capabilities often labeled as “leadership skills” are, in reality, deeply human skills relevant to everyone. They shape how people communicate, respond under pressure, navigate conflict, build trust, handle uncertainty, and relate to others.

The workplace simply exposes these gaps faster because work places people inside complex systems shaped by collaboration, accountability, feedback, adaptability, and pressure.

In our view, leadership development is fundamentally human capability development — work that shapes how people navigate not only organizations, but life more broadly.

FOCUS

Arc specializes in learning design for development; creating learning experiences that enable people to experiment, reflect, sense-make, practice, and apply learning in real-world contexts.

While traditional training is highly effective for building knowledge, and technical skills, understanding alone rarely leads to lasting behaviour change.

Our goal is not only to deepen understanding, but help people build the awareness, habits, and capabilities that result in sustainable growth.

PRACTICE

Arc is a collaborative practice led by Founder and Lead Practitioner Jelena Vath. While Arc operates as an independent practice, projects are supported by a trusted network of experienced learning and development practitioners, facilitators, and executive coaches, who are brought in selectively to provide specialized expertise, expand capacity, and support meaningful, high-quality development work.

My name is Jelena Vath, and I am the founder and lead practitioner behind Arc.

I created Arc to serve as more than a personal brand; it is a platform designed to embody the kind of work I believe is needed most in today’s environment. Arc is devoted to learning and development initiatives that meet individuals and teams where they are, embrace moments of tension and growth, and intentionally guide their trajectory toward meaningful growth.

Professional Expertise

I am an experienced professional in leadership development and learning design, with a background spanning diverse industries. My specialty is human-centered learning design, crafting interventions, programs and experiences that enhance self-awareness, emotional intelligence, resilience, strategic adaptability, and empathy. Through my work, I help individuals and teams build authentic connections, communicate with clarity and intention, navigate conflict, master debate and collaboration, build trust, and model behaviours that foster true psychological safety and inclusion. These skills are fundamental to sustainable individual and organizational performance.

Leadership Experience

Prior to starting my own practice, I served as Director of Leadership Development and Design at a company renowned for its expertise in experiential adult learning. In this capacity, I developed comprehensive leadership development programs and immersive experiences for large multi-national organizations. This role provided me with a unique perspective on people, culture, and the dynamics of change, and deepened my understanding of what is required to unlock growth for individuals and organizations. Through Arc, my goal is to make this work more accessible, practical, and sustainable for a wider range of organizations.

Academic and Industry Background

My academic background is in Psychology, Occupational Health & Safety, and Learning Design. Over the past two decades, I have worked with individuals, leaders, and teams across sectors such as healthcare, retail, finance, law, communications, government, construction, transportation, energy, and mining. These experiences have shaped my perspective on the varied ways work, life, and success manifest across industries, while reinforcing a universal truth: every industry is built on people. When people are given the opportunity and support to stretch, they grow and thrive. I consider it a privilege to walk alongside them on that journey.
